Reaching Elgin
The City and Royal Burgh of Elgin is situated some five miles inland on the south coast of the Moray Firth and lies roughly midway between Inverness to the west and Aberdeen in the east.
Elgin is the administrative and commercial capital of the county of Moray, and is easily reached by road, rail and air.
If you are you are travelling by road, follow the A9 north of Perth, and turn right onto the A95 after passing Aviemore.This will take you through breathtaking scenery down the Spey Valley, through Aberlour and Craigellachie follow the A941 and onto Rothes before you reach Elgin.
Alternatively, from Inverness or Aberdeen, follow the A96, which passes through Elgin. The east coast rail line to Aberdeen is extended onwards via Elgin and then to Inverness.
Inverness Airport is only forty minutes drive away, with many links from the south. There is also a good bus service in the area.

Getting to Elgin
By Road:
Elgin is situated on the A96 which runs from Inverness to Aberdeen or can be accessed by following the A95/A941 from Aviemore.
Elgin is approximately 125 miles from Perth, 170 miles from Edinburgh, 190 miles from Glasgow and 590 miles from London.
By Bus:

By Train:
